I've always said I've had a newborn for 18 months because 1. she still wakes up multiple times throughout the night 2. she sleeps on my chest for her nap.
This chest-sleeping doesn't happen all the time. Actually it has only happened two times in the last week. I put her up for her nap. She cries. She screams. She screeches. She gags. Catches her breath. Gags some more. Still screaming... all this over a thirty minute period. And, since I can't STAND her crying like that. I go get her. She puts her head down on me. I creep downstairs. Lower the volume on the TV. Look over and she's out. I get nothing done. But, I don't have a cranky baby on my hands, just a sleepy baby on my chest.
