Our 4th of July was was pretty much low key. I got discharged from the hospital around 11:30am, hours later then I thought I would, but oh well, I was going home. Jeff came up with the girls and we all headed home. Once we were home Jeff took Cambelle and Chloe over to my nephew's birthday party where my parents watched the girls while Jeff came back home to stay with Kenna and I. The girls had a blast and received these blue sunglasses in their goody-bags. Which Chloe has been wearing everyday! I'm actually embarrassed to post the picture below because both girls have their pacifiers in their mouths... The pacifier fairy was supposed to come and take Cambelle's away, but the fairy (me) is chickening out big time. Also, on this day, they were going on day 3 of the nap, no rest time, no schedule (since I was in the hospital) AND right before I took this picture Cambelle was playing and ran right into the corner of the couch and there was blood and swelling. So the pacifier came in handy. She's not a happy women during this picture. And Chloe is now regressing backwards with her pacifier because Kenna is here... not that Kenna even uses hers, she does have one, but Chloe loves to hold and play with Kenna's. I don't know what's going on with these girls, but I'm just trying to keep the peace for a while till everything settles into place.
And, here are some pictures of Kenna that I took before I left the hospital.
Kenna had her first pediatrician appointment today and everything went well. She gained 3 ounces in 2 days and the doc was happy about that. But, we have to go back on Saturday for a weight check. Here we go again... I make small babies, so I'm always at the pediatricians for weight checks. I can't even count how many Cambelle had.... too many! So right now she weighs exactly a whopping 6 pounds, people. She's a heavy one ;)
Don't feel bad! I didn't do anything with Andrew's until he was a few months shy of 4 years. He would suck one and hold one only at nap and bedtime. One day, I just decided to bring them to him at naptime with the nipples cut off (that sounds bad) and told him "they" knew he was turning 4 soon and 4 year olds don't have pacifiers. The look on his face was priceles...like - What the... But he was fine. Much easier than I expected. I wouldn't worry about it now especially with the change for her w/having the new baby....although you could use that toward your advantage and tell them Kenna needs them?
ReplyDeleteella says (about kenna), "i love her jammies!" (about cambelle and chloe), "i love the last time they bounces on der bed and the music started going. can we watch that again?"
