We had one busy weekend - BUT - first, let me just tell ya that Miss Kenna decided to roll over for the first time on her three month birthday. Can I get a whoop-whoop for Kenna?
She rolls from her back to her right side and it's all she does now... it's challenging to change her diaper and the girls are getting a kick out of it... almost like, "she's human, she can do baby things!" Earlier today, Kenna was having trouble rolling onto her other side so Cambelle gave her a little push and Kenna gave out a little chuckle, it was cute.
So, after the excitement of Kenna rolling over, Jeff and I along with our friends Bill, Nicole, Chris and Teresa drove our motorcycles (really the husbands bikes) to Smithville. We planned this trip about a month ago and really decided on the location a week ago but we had no idea till Friday night that it was Oktoberfest at Smithville. It was a lot of fun... with a dash of nervousness/anxiety. See, the bike is Jeff's "toy"that I like to look at and watch him ride it, but I had no desire to "take a ride with him." Because, well, bikes are dangerous, let's just face it... they are and they don't have doors, or a windshield, or cushion to protect you if you fall. So, I was a little anxious about the whole thing, but I cracked under pressure and gave in, since we had friends who were going too.
And, I had a great time.. it was a blast and some what of a rush. We took all back roads so we didn't go too fast but it was fun to be holding onto Jeff, riding around S. Jersey on an incredible Saturday. The weather couldn't have been better. We saw some really cool places, lakes, houses, tiny shops, cute little bars that I never knew existed.
I have amazing in-laws who watched the girls all day long. They took them to Duffield's Farm to pick out a pumpkin and then brought them home to decorate it.
On Sunday I took the girls to the Blackwood Pumpkin Festival and even though I've lived in Blackwood, and my parents still live there, I've never been to the festival. It was bigger then I thought and the girls loved it. I was surprised that they had a roller coaster, slides, trains, many other rides, Mister Softee and pony rides... the list could go on. It was a big hit with the girls and thankfully my mom came along to help me since Jeff was the good one and went to church ;)
After the festival Cambelle had a birthday party for a girl who is in her class and then she had a soccer game. Chloe and Kenna fell asleep in the car on the way to the field so I had to stay put till they woke up. It was awful weather out so I was kinda happy that Kenna wasn't out in it too long.
Cambelle did an awesome job and she's getting more comfortable at each game.
