our first apple picking of the season

Thursday morning we had our first school trip of the season to Mood's Farm for some apple picking, apple cider and cider donuts.

Emma, Cambelle, Maddie and Chloe (Miss Kenna was at home with Grams)
Nicole and I dressed our children appropriately to what the weather said it was at 9am - 64 degrees. But, once we hit that farm, we were all sweating... I love this weather but I hate how quickly the weather changes.... one minute it's chilly and the next it's steamy.

On our way to pick apples.

Chloe LOVED picking apples... she thought it was fun. At first, she was picking up the ones on the ground but then she got the hang of it and started picking apples from the tree.

Cambelle picked every baby apple in the farm... she told me she likes babies and that the baby apples are the best.
So, then I had to do a little picking myself so I would have enough apples to make apple pie.

Cambelle and some of her friends. Brandon is Cambelle's "boyfriend" and all the girls love him. Can't you tell?

And then at the end, Chloe thought it would be awesome to drop some on the ground because her bag was too heavy... she cracks me up.

Next field trip - pumpkin picking. But, I'm sure this won't be our only trip to pick apples. Cambelle told me she wants to go again with Jeff :)
