Our Labor Day Weekend started off great with our first church soccer game of the season. Jeff and I play on our church soccer team (Jeff is the coach) every Saturday morning. So far we are 2-0 and even though I feel like I'm going to die some times, I really do love getting back into playing and getting fit. (And, thanks to my mom who watch all three girls during the games - we really appreciate it)
After our soccer game we took the girls to a local park to run around and to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having.
I think Jeff is giving Chloe a lecture on running away from us... she has a mind of her own and will just do whatever she wants even if we aren't with her.
The girls LOVE sand and love playing in it. I was a little OCD that day and kinda freaked when I saw them start burying each other... we immediately left after that ;)
Then, on Sunday we went to church and then made a road trip to The Morris Arboretum. I'm sure like everyone else, you just can't get enough of this nice weather, but I feel like I need to bottle it up. This summer was brutal on us... I felt guilty everyday when the girls wanted to go outside and play and I couldn't. The weather was too hot for Kenna and I was miserable in it too. So, I'm trying to make up for all the times the girls wanted to play outside with days now enjoying the "cooler" weather.
Our ride to Morris Arboretum took about an hour and it was nice to take back roads and to really enjoy PA. The girls had a ball running around, exploring and enjoying each other. They are two peas in a pod and sometimes I do think they are twins.
There was a huge "tree house" that the girls playing on for a while. I was a wimp and was scared to step foot it on it. But, Chloe on the other had, thought it was a bed and started to jump in it and all over it. Chloe had NO fear.
Kenna enjoyed being outside too... she told me. I think this was the only time she was asleep. She's awake all day, people. So, it's hard to do an outing for an entire day because she wants to be up and played with. I'm not complaining because she sleeps from 9pm - 4:30am, but it's hard because any typical 9 week old would sleep all day in their car seat. Not, Kenna... she was hard that day, but we pushed through it and she did great.
Our "usual"pose
Jeff and our huge stroller... right now we feel that this is our best way of travel... even though Cambelle wants to sit too... there was a lot of fighting on who sits where. So, Jeff usually puts Cambelle on his shoulders. When I had Kenna in the front carrier, Cambelle sat in her car seat. It was a long day and the girls were tired at the end. But, I'm not ready to get a three seater stroller.
My favorite shoes these days... I'm in love with the color and very comfy.
After the girls ran their little hearts out we drove 40 minutes to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets. It was perfect timing because Kenna and Chloe took a nap. Once we got there we let the girls play on their playground there, then we went to Toys R Us outlet and then Jeff and I did a little shopping. It was great weekend and I loved spending time with just Jeff and the girls.
