Yesterday the girls swam at my parents house all morning and when we got home at 1:30, they ran around the house like crazy women... they never rested! I was surprised they didn't need to rest, because, I was pooped... I needed to rest. It's funny where they store their extra energy, I think they should share some with me...
Ok, back to our crazy weekend.
Friday night we had a birthday party for some awesome little boys and then Saturday we celebrated Cambelle's 4th Birthday. It's her second year in a row that she wanted a princess theme and I wanted to kick myself for throwing away 1/2 the stuff from her party last year.
The proud Birthday girl!
Can you tell how hot it was? Our party was at 6PM, and all day they were running around, swimming, and sweating... by the time the party started I gave up on hair clips and looking cute ;)
The Birthday girl enjoying Mango water ice. I bought this huge JUG from Sam's. Best $13 I've spent in a long time... b/c we are still eating it.
Chloe opted for the Cherry water ice which was a MESS!
Pinata time!!!
Her birthday party was awesome and we are so happy to have such a great group of family and friends to celebrate with. I was feeling guilty for a while since it was such a low-key party. We usually have it catered and have it during the day, but being so close to my due date we decided on snacks and cake at 6PM. I think it worked out great and we may keep it this way for a while. So easy and I think everyone had a great time.
Then, on Sunday, it was officially Cambelle's 4th Birthday, Father's Day and my FIL Bday! My mind kept switching gears to Cambelle's birthday - oh wait, it's Father's Day! Luckily, I have the most laid back husband in the world... he was all about celebrating Cambelle rather then himself. My hubs just wanted to be with us all day and swim with the girls. So, after he got back from church (I didn't go since Cambelle didn't wake up till 10am) we went out to a late breakfast and Jeff's favorite diner and then headed over to my parents to swim the day away.
Cambelle's first time off the diving board! And, now it's all she does.
I love watching Jeff with the girls... he's very patient and hands-on. The girls adore him and can't wait for him to come home from work every day. He's just so, so good to them and he takes TIME for them, which is what I love the most. He takes time to give them piggy back rides
to read them their favorite book for the 100th time
to hug them
to love on them
to sing to them
to be the only man in their lives
to show God's love
to give them baths
to support them
Thank you, Jeff for being such a great father to our girls!
